Back to School, Back to Reality | Spring 2016

Hello Beautiful People!

Classes started back up on Tuesday. This semester I am taking the normal course load of four classes, technically five if I count my biology lab. When it comes to blogging I am going to try my hardest to have content posted twice a week. Right now I am aiming for Mondays and Thursdays. In other news… I caught a virus, the doctor suspects it’s the flu. I’ve been feeling like major poopy these past few days. This semester I only have three main goals and I plan on sticking to them all. Enjoy!

As I’ve stated above, I am taking four (technically five) classes this semester. I am nervous to say the least. Here are the classes I am taking and my goals for each:
Contemporary Bioscience w/ Lab: This is Your Brain on Drugs: This biology class is for the non-bio majors. People at my school refer to it as “Disney Bio” because it significantly easier than Biology 101. So far I really like the professor so this class should be a good time. I am aiming for an A but I would be okay with a B as well.
Math for Teachers II: I don’t know much about this course but I would like to get an A. It’s a class I need to take for my educational studies minor.
Intermediate Microeconomics: This is the class I dropped last semester *sigh*. I signed up with a different professor and I know she has a more math-based approach so I am looking forward to that. So far she seems very sweet and enthusiastic about the course. I consider myself a math person. I want to pull a C, if I do better than that I will be over the moon.
Economic Statistics: So far I like the class and the professor. I think this class will be a lot of work but I think I can do it. I want to get at least a B in this class.

Guys… I’VE GONE VEGAN (I’ve only been vegan for four days so far)! Over the past few weeks I’ve been researching veganism quite a bit and I came to the conclusion that I want to give it a try. For those of you who don’t know what veganism is it’s basically abstaining from the use of animal products in your diet. I can do a whole post for you guys about my reasons behind going vegan if you would like. I feel like I have WAY too much to say and it would take away from my semester goals. Leave me a comment if you would like to hear more about my vegan journey. 🙂

Last semester I had a goal of only spending $100 a month. It was hard… way harder than I thought. This seamster I am upping my budget to $150 a month and I think that little extra bit of wiggle room will help me out immensely. I’ve become very money conscious and I really enjoy how I’m going into second semester with the same amount of money I went into fall semester with (from working over the winter break). I feel so grateful that my dad does finance for a living so he can guide me into the right directon. If you want a post all about how to handle your finances as a college student leave me a comment and let me know!

If you would like to read my goals for fall semester you can read them here. If you want to read all about my fall semester reflection you can read about it here. What goals do you guys have this semester? Let me know in the comments I love to hear from y’all!
