March Favorites

Hello Beautiful People!

March Favorites

Happy Friday! Yesterday it was absolutely beautiful on campus. My best friend Megan and I spent some time laying on the docks and taking artsy Instagram pics. Times like these I feel very blessed that I attend such a gorgeous school. Just take a look for yourself on my Instagram (and maybe drop a follow as well). I’ve been loving a bunch of things this month. Here are my top five favorites for March!

1. Maybelline Baby Skin Primer

Maybelline Baby Skin

I’ve noticed that as I get older my pores are getting deeper and deeper. I’ve been using the Smashbox primer for ages but it’s too expensive for me to repurchase (#CollegeBudget) and I’ve heard great things about the Maybelline primer so I thought I’d give it a try. Not only are my pores unnoticeable but my skin is, literally, baby soft. My makeup lasts longer than before and I couldn’t be happier. Finally a drugstore primer that I can rely on!

2. Pinterest

My Boards

I like to say that I’m always “late to the party” when it comes to trends. This past month I’ve gotten really into Pinterest. I often catch myself editing my boards and searching for essentially anything. If you don’t already follow me on Pinterest you can here. I love to pin things regarding decor, fashion, and food… but let’s be real, what girl doesn’t?

3. Double Pearl Earrings

Double Pearl Earrings

At first I was not a huge fan of this trend. The other weekend my mom and I were shopping and she picked me up a pair. I can honestly say that I love them! I prefer to wear them big in the front and short in the back (which I think is completely wrong but idgaf). I think they put a fun twist on the “classic” pearl look. I always like trying out things that people consider “different” or “risky”. What do you guys think about this trend? Is it a purchase or a pass?

4. Deva Curl

Deva Curl

For the longest time I’ve been on the hunt for a quality shampoo and conditioner. I decided to bite the bullet and give Deva Curl a shot! The “No-Poo” is what I use as shampoo and the “One Condition is the conditioner. Here is what their website says:

“The easiest thing you can do to get gorgeous curls is to ditch your shampoo. While your go-to foaming formula may smell amazing, it could be creating frizz (and a lot of frustration). Curly hair tends to be drier than straight textures because it’s harder for natural oils to travel from the roots all the way to the ends. The harsh ingredients found in most traditional shampoos, like sodium lauryl sulfate, ammonium laureth sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate, strip away much-needed moisture. That’s why No-Poo, our original zero-lather cleanser is such a game-changer. No-Poo is gentle, incredibly moisturizing, packed with botanicals and doesn’t contain iffy ingredients that will dehydrate the heck out of your curls. Follow it up with One Condition, our ultra-creamy daily conditioner. You’ll be left with beautiful, frizz-free curls that won’t stress you out.”

So far I am head over heels for this stuff! My hair has been noticeably better and I can’t wait to see how it will hold up in the warmer months.

5. Festival Music

Music Festival

This summer I am going to Sweetlife Music Festival. Some of my favorite artists are going to be there. Some of the more notable ones are Kendrick Lamar, Calvin Harris, The Weekend, The Pixies, Charli XCX, MisterWives, and Marina and the Diamonds. I made a Spotify playlist with some of my favorite songs from artists that will be at Sweetlife. You can check it out here. Happy listening! 🙂
