Hey y’all! My motivation behind this segment is to acquaint y’all to some of the most inspirational and fabulous women I know. Each Wednesday you’ll be introduced to another “Belle”, get to know them, and gain a little knowledge. Let’s get started!
Meet: Elle Wells
Olivia: What do you study in school?
Elle: “I’ll be a a freshman at St. Mary’s College of Maryland starting in a little less than a month! I’m not totally sure what I’m majoring in, but I am considering public policy. I will be sailing as well on the schools varsity team, and continuing to sail in honor of my friend Olivia Constants who passed away in 2011.” –FUN FACT: Elle is my roommate this year at SMCM!
Olivia: How do you describe your style?
Elle: “My style is fairly preppy! I love Lilly Pulitzer, and share this passion with my mother and grandmother. I love jcrew, vineyard vines, etc. Even though I love dressing up, I’m also very comfortable dressing causally and getting dirty! I love adventuring. My fashion icons are the character Blair Waldorf, American icon Jackie O, Lilly P herself, and of course Audrey Hepburn”
Olivia: What’s something that makes you unique?
Elle: “Something that makes me unique is my wide variety of interests. Of course I love sailing and being near the water, I also love the mountains and skiing backcountry with my brother. I’m fiercely competitive and obsessed with working out. I can also be high maintenance or incredibly chill! In all honesty, I think I’m unique because of my ability to make the best of any situation and create my own happiness. I can make any setting my own and find my place”
Olivia: What’s your favorite season?
Elle: “So tough! I love the summer and spending long evenings on the water, but I also adore winter and snow! It’s hard to pick. Fashion wise, winter is my favorite! I love sweater and button down combos!”
Olivia: All time favorite nail polish?
Elle: “I’m not extremely into nail polish. Although dirty gross nails are my pet peeve! As long as nails are clean and your cuticles are taken care of, you’re good to go!”
Olivia: What’s something you can’t live without?
Elle: ” Showers. I’m a clean freak body wise, I’m obsessive about clean hair, nails, skin, and face. When you take care of your body, it brings your beauty out! I don’t wear makeup very often but I take really good care of all my skin and I like to think it shows!”
Olivia: What’s your go-to order at Starbucks?
Elle: “Grande iced non fat caramel machiatto – I take after my dad with my daily caramel machiatto necessity. “
Olivia: What are your social media links?
Olivia: What are your thoughts on being yourself? What advice would you give to somebody struggling with this?
Elle: “My advice for anyone is to stay dedicated to a passion. Whether it’s sports, music, blogging, or your job. Pick something you’re dedicated to and commit to it. In my experience those who don’t have something to center their energy on, end up struggling with themselves and end up making poor choices. Your focus can literally be anything, but just get passionate about it! Becoming truly dedicated to sailing was the best thing that’s ever happened to me for many reasons. It kept me working hard in school so that I could attend practice, It introduced me to some life long friends, It helped me choose my college, It made me determined to workout everyday no matter what, and it has given me countless opportunities to travel!”
